Police Believe Man Robbed During Drug Deal in St. Charles

St. Charles Police said Graylen Nolden and another man set up a drug transaction and robbed the supplier.

A St. Charles man is charged with robbery after what police believe may have been an arranged drug deal.

Graylen Nolden, 20, of the 800 block of Cunningham Avenue in St. Charles, was charged Saturday with first-degree robbery.

St. Charles Police said Nolden and another man pointed a pistol at another man in the 300 block of Riverview Lane in St. Charles. They demanded that he give them all of his property, and the man gave them his wallet with $50 inside, police said.

The men went through his vehicle looking for valuable items.

Sgt. Todd Wilson of St. Charles Police said officers believe Nolden and the second man arranged a drug buy and then robbed the drug dealer.

Police said the man later contacted Nolden to return the keys to his vehicle and his residence so he wouldn’t need a locksmith to change the locks. Nolden said he wouldn’t do so because the man had already reported the robbery to police.

.Nolden is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $50,000, cash only, and he is to have no contact with the victim.
