Man Charged with Molesting Child in St. Charles

Charges against North St. Louis County man regard inappropriate sexual contact with a child under 12 years old.

A North St. Louis County man was charged Wednesday in with felonies relating to sexual contact with a child under age 12.

Richard Allen Williams, 61, of the 2700 block of Brouster Avenue in St. Louis County, was charged with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy, first degree child molestation, sexual misconduct and first-degree child endangerment.

According to a report, the incidents took place in St. Charles between Oct. 28, 2010 and Oct. 31, 2011. The report states the man knew the child’s grandmother.

Lt. Dave Senter of St. Charles Police said additional charges against Williams may be filed in St. Louis County.

Williams declined to give police a statement regarding the charges.

Bond was set at $100,000. Williams is being held by St. Charles County Corrections.
