Photos: Friday's Severe Storms Leaves Path of Damage in St. Charles County

The path of destruction left by Friday's storm leaves little doubt just where the worst of the storm was.

All along Pitman Hill Road in unincorporated St. Charles County, just south of St. Peters, the roadway was lined with broken limbs, leaves and downed power lines.

In the light of day, drivers and onlookers were out assessing the damage. Traffic was backed up as drivers slowed down to look. Meanwhile homeowners and damage assessor were out checking the damage.

Late Friday, St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann has declared a State of Emergency for St. Charles County. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is expected to be in St. Charles today, according to a source at the Central Command Center at Central Middle School.
