My under-graduate degree is in English from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York and I have a Masters in Journalism from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
While attending Point Park, I had the good fortune to be involved with the Innocence Institute, an organization that investigated claims of wrongful conviction. During my year and a half there, I was able to witness three exonerations, one of which I helped investigate.
After moving to Missouri in 2007, I worked a the Suburban Journals for two years, covering happenings in O'Fallon, Missouri.
Currently I am a freelance writer for Patch, frustrated novelist and stay-at-home mom.
