Sean Michael Moore, of St. Charles, was charged with burglary after he was found inside the CrossWay Church at 3:30 a.m.
A St. Charles man who told police he stopped to use the restroom faces a criminal charge for entering a St. Charles church at about 2:56 a.m. Thursday. St. Charles Police said a burglar alarm was activated about that time at CrossWay Church at 420 Hemsath. The church’s pastor came to re-set the alarm at about 3:24 a.m. and found an unlocked door at the church, police said. As he drove around the building, he saw a man inside the building. Brittnee Traylor, 21, was charged with first-degree burglary and felony theft, after she was found in a home in St. Charles, where the homeowner then held her at gunpoint until police arrived.
A St. Charles County homeowner found a woman hiding in her closet and held her at gunpoint until officers arrived, a St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy reported. Brittnee Traylor, 21, of the 1400 block of South Drive in St. Charles County, was charged with first-degree burglary and felony theft. She is scheduled to appear in St, Charles County Circuit Court Friday. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy reported a woman found Traylor in her home in the 1200 block of Clearview Drive. An anonymous tip led St. Charles Police to two men that are under federal investigation for targeting jewelry stores in multiple states.
A confidential tip helped St. Charles Police nab two men now being investigated in jewelry thefts in multiple states. Police said officers found a cache of more than $200,000 in stolen jewelry. Police found the stolen jewelry when they searched the men and their rental car March 14. Some of the recovered jewelry was reported stolen in December from Samuels Jewelers in South St. Louis County. Quinton Garrus, 52, of Baltimore, was charged Friday with receiving stolen property. A St. Charles man is accused of breaking into a St. Charles County home and stealing a credit card March 1. Timothy Frank Harris, 32, was charged March 4 with first-degree burglary. Harris' last known address was listed as the 3600 block of Deerfield Drive in St. Charles. St. Charles County Sheriff’s investigators said Harris entered a home in the 3000 block of Bluffwood Drive in St. Charles County near Ehlmann Road and stole a credit card. Three men were found in a vacant St. Charles home Sunday, hiding out after they stole items from cars in the Sunnydale Mobile Home Community, St. Charles Police said. Police said the three planned to leave for California three days later and were going to money from selling the stolen items to fund the trip. The three men were found in a home on the first block of Greendale Drive after a neighbor spotted them entering the mobile home. They are: Hamilton and Zamarripa both were charged with second-degree burglary and felony theft. Zamarripa also was charged with resisting arrest. St. Charles Police said one woman stole 96 Enfamil cans while a second woman stole 20 more cans.
Two women face criminal charges after St. Charles Police said they stole 116 cans of Enfamil formula over a 12-day period. Hattie Allen, 38, and Shamika M. Thomas, 42, both of the 5000 block of Queens in the city of St. Louis, were charged Jan. 18 with of felony stealing. St. Charles Police said Allen and Thomas each put 20 cans of Enfamil in their purses and walked out of the St. Charles Walmart, 2897 Veterans Memorial Parkway, without paying on Jan. 16. They were arrested and police said Allen admitted to stealing the formula from Walmart on several occasions over the previous two weeks: Thomas was accused of stealing 20 cans of Enfamil on Jan. 16 and helping Allen steal 20 cans of the formula. A St. Charles man, caught after breaking into a house while the resident was home, faces 11 criminal charges in six burglaries, police said. St. Charles Police said Jeremy Lorenz, 18, kicked in a door in the 900 block of Spring Avenue while the homeowner was home sleeping. Police arrested him a short time later. Officers linked Lorenz to five other St. Charles burglaries, including another burglary at the same house on Spring Avenue, according to a police report. Lorenz was charged Dec. 31 with one count of first-degree burglary, five counts of second-degree burglary and five counts of felony theft. Police said Lorenz committed the following burglaries. A St. Charles restaurant manager has been accused of stealing a bank deposit for the restaurant. St. Charles Police said that Michael C. Femmer, of the 1100 block of Simmons Avenue in Kirkwood, stole the bank deposit for Golden Corral, 1850 Zumbehl Road, a total of $5,516. Femmer was a manager on duty and he prepared the deposit for Oct. 28, police said. Surveillance video shows he drove to Pulaski Bank in the same shopping center as the restaurant, and extended his arm but did not drop the bank bag for deposit, police said. The president of Golden Corral told officers he questioned Femmer about the deposit and Femmer told him he lost it and offered to pay it back. A man was found Wednesday, sleeping in offices at 424 North Second Street in St. Charles. Sean Skaggs, 21, of the 500 block of Morgan Street in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with first-degree burglary. St. Charles Police said Skaggs broke glass on the building’s front door and wandered through second-floor offices while someone was working on the first floor. He stole a drink from a second-floor refrigerator and attempted to steal a computer battery backup system, police said. Officers found Skaggs sleeping in one of the second story offices. A woman stole $2,600 and hid a cell phone from a man as he slept in a St. Charles hotel room Nov. 23. She then lost all but nearly $2,000 gambling at Ameristar Casino, police said. Huyen Thi Nguyen, 40, was charged Monday with felony theft. The victim told St. Charles Police Nguyen also took his truck, but she had keys to the vehicle and he permitted her to drive it. He told police he had been helping Nguyen out, but did not give her permission to take his money as they stayed at InTown Suites, 1769 Veterans Memorial Parkway in St. Charles. Nguyen told police she took the money because she had a gambling problem.
