Students seeking to complete their bachelor's degree in nursing will have another option for school in St. Charles County starting this August. Lindenwood University and St. Charles Community College have partnered to open the Center for Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at the former Barat Academy building in Dardenne Prairie. Lindenwood University will offer an RN (Registered Nurse) to BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) degree program at the Center. Students enrolled in the Associates Degree in Nursing program at St. Charles Community College will be able to apply for early admission to Lindenwood University and take a few bachelors degree courses before officially getting their license. The club’s goal is to create discourse on cannabis policy and to advocate for decriminalization and regulation of marijuana. They plan to organize voter-registration and petition drives and work with NORML, the national nonprofit working to change marijuana laws. "JKK" is 100% wrong. This group is about changing the law, NOT breaking the law. It most definitely is NOT "a club for illegal activity"!! Our legislators also talk about changing the law - that's their job. Are they "a club for illegal activity"? Would there be so much outcry if this group was trying to change a different law? An Elsberry man forced his ex-girlfriend into her car and drove around campus, threatening to kill her and himself, police report.
An Elsberry man was charged last week in St. Charles County Circuit Court with kidnapping and terrorizing a woman in a Feb. 8 incident near St. Charles Community College. Jon Paul Heinz, 22, is accused of forcing a 19-year-old woman into her car and threatening to shoot her and himself while driving around the Cottleville campus. He also told her he would hang himself in front of her so she could watch him die. The woman, Heinz’s former girlfriend who had broken up with him recently, tried to escape several times but Heinz restrained her, according to a St. Charles Community College Police report. Heinz also asked her to remove her coat and clothes, according to the report. The woman told police she took off her coat, but not her clothes. …
