St. Charles County Sheriff's Department officials said his father made him vacate his apartment due to his drinking and aggressive behavior.
A man broke his father’s apartment window and damaged his truck with a landscaping rock after the father refused to allow him inside his home. Joseph Gilliam, 27, was charged April 15 with first-degree property damage. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Gilliam’s father told him he had his son leave the residence in the first block of Fairway Circle because of his son’s drinking and aggressive behavior. The apartment is in St. Charles County near St. Charles. When his father refused to let him inside, Gilliam threw a landscaping rock through the apartment window, according to a court document. A St. Charles man rammed his Ford Ranger pickup into his girlfriend’s car several times Saturday as the woman tried to get away from the man with the couple’s one-year-old son, St. Charles Police said. He then got out of his truck and began punching the driver’s window in attempt to get into the car, police said. The woman, who told police she feared for her and her son’s lives, burned her tires backing away from the man, a witness told police. She pulled into an unknown person’s driveway in the 1000 block of Pine Street. She ran up to the door with her son and knocked frantically on the door, and a resident let her in and called police. Man illegally entered his mother's house to steal the keys, then took the truck, police said.
A man was charged Wednesday with stealing his grandfather’s pickup truck from his mother’s home. Alexander L. Wilson, 31, of the 5500 block of Seth Avenue in Affton, was charged with burglary and stealing the truck. According to a St. Charles Police report, Wilson’s mother had changed locks to keep him out, but left a rear door unlocked while she slept. Police said in the report that Wilson entered the house in the 400 block of Elmhurst April 20, took keys to a 2002 Toyota Tundra and took the truck from the garage.
