Woman Takes Stolen Car Keys Back, Finds $50 Missing From Purse
St. Charles Police said the man had gone into the woman's house and took the keys and cash from her purse.
A man was arrested after breaking into a woman’s house Monday and stealing her car keys and cash, only to have her get them back, according to a St. Charles Police report. Dennis Ruiz, of the 200 block of Boonslick in St. Charles, was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary, tampering with a vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia. St. Charles Police said Ruiz entered a home in his neighborhood through an unlocked door in the 200 block of Boonslick Drive. He stole $50 from a purse and keys to a Toyota Corolla. A woman who lived in the burglarized home stopped Ruiz from leaving and got her keys back, police said.
