Fifth St. early last week. The shop first opened in April 2011 in Creve Coeur before it moved to St. Charles this month for less expensive rent and to be closer to its headquarters. Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County is looking for someone to help procuring donations for the Habitat ReStore, located at 130 Trade Center Dr W St Peters, MO 63376. Volunteers would call businesses requesting donations of building materials that are sold in the thrift store. Volunteers would work 4-6 hours each week Tuesday through Thursday. Procurement volunteers will start telephoning targeted entities immediately. The objective of the phone calls is to generate donations through relationship building. Volunteers help prepare basic tax returns for low income and people with disabilities from February through April.
Volunteers from St. Louis and surrounding counties are sought to provide free tax counseling and basic income tax return preparation through the Gateway EITC Community Coalition and AARP. Volunteers must have basic computer skills to complete the e-learning course. Volunteers will provide individual tax returns for low to moderate income and disabled taxpayers for as few as four hours a week from February to April.
