A St. Charles County man was sentenced Friday to five life sentences after pleading guilty to molesting three children and possessing child pornography. Harley J. Smith, 37, of St. Charles County, pleaded guilty Aug. 28 to four counts of statutory sodomy, two counts of first-degree child molestation, one count of statutory rape, one count of statutory rape, sexual misconduct involving a child and two counts of child pornography possession. St. Charles County Circuit Court Judge Ted House on Friday sentenced Smith to five life sentences plus 34 years in prison on the charges. The crimes took place between October 2008 and January 2012. according to court documents. Each of the three children were less than 12 years old during the crimes. …

A man was indicted Friday by a St. Charles County grand jury on three counts of statutory sodomy for having sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl. St. Charles Police said Thomas Louis Watkins, 30, of the 4100 block of Chisholm Trail in St. Charles County near St. Peters, had sexual contact with the girl on three occasions between February 2008 and November 2008. The contact occurred while he was watching a pornographic video in a St. Charles home. He is being held in St. Charles County jail on a $75,000, cash-only bond. A St. Charles County man faces criminal charges after police said he had sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl, according to court documents. Thomas Louis Watkins, 30, of the 4100 block of Chisholm Trail in St. Charles County just east of St. Peters, was charged Tuesday with three counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. St. Charles Police said Watkins was babysitting children for a family between February 2008 and November 2008 and had sexual contact with the girl on three occasions. Watkins admitted to police that he watched a pornographic video during the sexual contact. A St. Charles man is facing criminal charges of having sex with an 11-year-old child in 2009. Dennis L. Noack, 54, of the 800 block of Spring Avenue in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy. St. Charles Police said in a report that Noack had sex two times with a child who then was 11 years old between June 1 and Aug. 31, 2009. Bond was set at $25,000.
