A St. Louis man faces drug dealing charges after St. Charles County Drug Task Force members said he sold heroin and crack cocaine to an undercover officer in St. Charles. Gregory Roy Steed, 23, of the 1100 block of Hickory Street in the city of St. Louis, was charged April 24 with four counts of distributing a controlled substance. An undercover officer with the Drug Task Force said Steed sold him heroin three times, once each on April 8, April 16 and April 23 at a gas station in the 1600 block of South Fifth Street in St. Charles. He said Steed also sold him crack cocaine April 23. An anonymous tip led police to stake out a residence in the 200 block of Boone’s Lick Road in St. Charles and later make an arrest. Patrick Corbett, 44, of the 600 block of Country Lake in St. Peters, was charged Feb. 5 with distributing a controlled substance. St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said a tip indicated there was a meth lab operating at a home in the 200 block of Boone’s Lick Road, and one person was heading to the home to pick up a large amount of pseudoephedrine in exchange for finished meth. A St. Charles County man faces a second methamphetamine charge about five months after a meth lab exploded on his property near Wentzville, burning a woman and setting fire to his barn. Dale Lenze Sr., 53, was charged Jan. 31 with attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A St. Charles couple was indicted for involuntary manslaughter after law enforcement officials said they sold heroin to a man, who overdosed and died July 31. A St. Charles County grand jury reached decisions to hold both over for trial. Thomas Lucas, 23, and Whitney M. Patrick, 23, both of the 200 block of Ameristar Boulevard in St. Charles, also were indicted on two counts of distributing a controlled substance. St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said Jemil Ely, 23, gave Lucas and Patrick $50 for five doses of heroin. Lucas then bought eight heroin doses in the city of St. Louis on July 30. A St. Charles man faces criminal charges for making methamphetamine at an extended stay hotel, less than 2,000 feet from a daycare. Mark A. Gamache, 34, of St. Charles was charged Thursday with manufacturing methamphetamine within 2,000 feet of a daycare. St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said Gamache asked an informant to provide him with chemicals used to make meth, including pseudoephedrine, Coleman camp fuel and lithium batteries. He asked the informant to meet him on a parking lot at South Old Highway 94 and Town West Drive, a task force member said. Once the delivery was made, detectives arrested Gamache. A St. Charles man, who suspected a marijuana buyer was an undercover officer, refunded the St. Charles County Drug Task Force detective his money Oct. 29, according to a police report. However, a search of the home a week later uncovered enough evidence to charge the man, police said. James Meyer, 22, of the 1500 block of Boone’s Lick Road in St. Charles, was charged Thursday with distributing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Three people face drug charges after detectives said they twice sold cocaine to an undercover officer in St. Charles. Each of following people were charged Thursday with two counts of distributing a controlled substance and marijuana possession: St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives said the undercover officer bought cocaine from Killingsworth for $100 on Oct. 1 at 1640 South Fifth Street in St. Charles. He also cocaine from Killingsworth for $200 on Oct. 24 at the same location, police said. A man sold an undercover officer marijuana and an ecstasy tablet Oct. 18, according to a St. Charles County Drug Task Force detective. Jacob James Hampton, 19, of the 800 block of San Miguel Drive in unincorporated St. Charles County near St. Charles, was charged Thursday with distributing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. An undercover officer said Hampton sold him seven grams of marijuana and an ecstasy pill for $140 Oct. 18 at Hampton’s home, which is off Veterans Memorial Parkway. A St. Charles man faces a drug charge after officers found he had more than five grams of marijuana that he planned to deliver to an informant Friday. David Curry, 24, of the 1200 block of North 2nd Street in St. Charles, was charged Monday with distributing or delivering a controlled substance. St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives reported that a confidential informant called Curry asked to buy two ounces of marijuana and arranged a meeting Friday at 620 South Fifth Street in St. Charles.
