A woman lured a man to her motel room in Bridgeton May 10 where a St. Charles man lying in wait stabbed him in the chest and robbed him, police said. Bridgeton Police said Lindsay Dames, 19, arranged for the man to be robbed by David Smith, 47, who waited at the Northwest Airport Inn at 3570 North Lindbergh Blvd. in Bridgeton, an extended stay motel. When Dames and the man entered her room, Smith attacked the man, stabbing him in the chest and lacerating his liver, according to a police report. They took cash and a cell phone from the man, according to a court document. A 16-year-old has been certified to stand trial as an adult after being accused of putting a gun to another person’s head during a marijuana deal and robbing them in St. Peters Feb. 25. Lawrence Fitzgerald III, 16, of the 1500 block of Dartmouth Drive in St. Charles, was charged March 19 with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to distributing marijuana. St. Charles Police said Jordan Rigdon grabbed cash from a woman's hands at an ATM, but left behind some evidence.
Police said a DNA sample from a robbery at an ATM helped match a St. Charles man to the crime. St. Charles Police said a man grabbed cash from a woman’s hand after she withdrew cash from an ATM outside Commerce Bank, 1101 First Capitol Drive. The woman was sitting in her car when the man grabbed the cash and they struggled briefly. The woman told police she lost a bracelet inside her car during the struggle. Police seized the bracelet and submitted a swab to the crime lab. Police said a DNA sample matched Jordan Rigdon, 22, whose last known address is in the first block of Stephanie Lane in St. Charles. Three men were arrested for allegedly assaulting someone and stealing a backpack, phones and wallets from people whom had agreed meet them to purchase heroin.
Three men were arrested early Tuesday morning about 30 minutes after they allegedly assaulted a man and stole a backpack, cell phones and wallets from several people in the middle of Circle Drive in St. Charles. Christopher D. Hunn, 18, of St. Charles, Graylen Noldon, 19, and Dirrell Taylor III, 19, of St. Louis, were each charged with three counts of first degree robbery. According to Lt. Dave Senter, spokesman for St. Charles Police Department, the three men met with four people who had agreed to buy heroin from them. At least one of the victims knew some of the suspects and one of the suspects wanted to retaliate against a victim who had left him "stranded" out of town days earlier, according to police. A man robbed a woman by holding a knife to her throat, threatening to kill her and burn down her house Nov. 4 in the 900 block of North Second Street, St. Charles Police said. The man, John R. Walker, 42, stole a large amount of coins, the woman’s cell phone and her purse, police said. Walker had worked for the woman around her St. Charles home for about a week while staying at her house, according to the police report. The woman located him shortly afterwards at Phillips 66, 2240 North Third Street, using the stolen coins to buy liquor. She called police, who arrested him a short time later. Man fled on foot with cash in a white, plastic grocery bag.
St. Charles Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing the Pulaski Bank on Zumbehl Road in St. Charles Tuesday morning. The suspect, a black man, who is bald and has a muscular build, passed a note to the clerk that implied he had a weapon around. He did not display a weapon, however. He fled the area with a white, plastic grocery bag filled with U.S. currency, according to St. Charles Police Lt. Dave Senter. He was seen running north across parking lots. Police received a report of the robbery around 11:12 a.m. May 15. The man was wearing a light colored baseball cap which the clerk asked him to remove.
