- - - Updated at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday - - - O'Fallon Police advised at 3:30 p.m. that I-70 westbound is shut down at mile marker 214 at Lake St. Louis all the way to Hwy 40/64. It may take two hours to clear. At 3:40 p.m., MoDOT's traffic map indicated I-70 closed from exit 212 to Bryan Road, and I-64 from Hwy. 94 clear through West St. Louis county to I-270. - - - Original story - - - It's a mess out there. Today's sleet, ice and snow have St. Charles County emergency crews and police departments strained to their limits.
