St. Charles Police said Dominic Ewing was upset about his missing cell phone and confronted and assaulted the man.
A man is accused of breaking another man’s jaw and injuring the ear of another St. Charles resident Feb. 20. Dominic Ewing, of the first block of Buckingham Place in St. Charles, was charged Monday with second-degree assault. St. Charles Police said a man was lured to the 1700 block of North 4th Street in St. Charles, where Ewing met him. Ewing was upset over the whereabouts of his cell phone, according to police. Ewing hit the man in the chest and the jaw, causing a compound jaw fracture and a lacerated ear, according to a court documents. Ewing is being held in St. Charles County jail. Steven T. Scott is accused of punching another inmate eight to 10 times in an unprovoked assault, St. Charles County Corrections officials said.
A man is accused of a second assault on a St. Charles County prisoner within the last year. Steven T. Scott, 20, of the 400 block of Houston Street in St. Charles, was charged Feb. 8 with third-degree assault. An investigator said Scott punched another inmate in the head eight to 10 times without provocation Jan. 28 at the St. Charles County Justice Center, 200 North Second St. in St. Charles. The other inmate received stitches above his eye, bruising on the left side of his face and ear, and received liquid sutures on his ear. Scott and another prisoner, Robert E. Martin, were indicted on an April 5 attack on another inmate. That man required hospitalization and surgeries to repair fractures to his face, head and jaw. The indictment was …

A man faces charges for punching his girlfriend and then stealing her car on Monday in St. Charles. Derek A. Porter, 42, of the 1000 block of Circle Drive in St. Charles, was charged with stealing a car and third-degree domestic assault. St. Charles Police said the two argued in her car parked outside their residence, and Porter punched the woman in the mouth and pulled her hair. He then took her car without her permission to get away from officers, police said. Porter is on probation from the Missouri Department of Corrections for forgery and passing a bad check.
