City to Add Dual Turn Lanes from Muegge Road to Mexico Road
St. Charles City was awarded funding from St. Charles County Road Board for several road projects in 2014 and 2015.
Several major roads in St. Charles will get a complete overhaul in 2014 and 2015. The St. Charles County Road Board recently awarded funding for several projects in St. Charles. One of those projects is designed to ease congestion at Muegge Road and Mexico Road. The city previously studied possible solutions to traffic problems at Cave Springs and I-70. One solution that will be implemented in 2014 will be widening Muegge Road in front of the QuikTrip south of Mexico Road. This will allow crews to add a second left turn lane to the road.
