A St. Charles motorcyclist was injured after being thrown from his motorcycle in an Sunday-morning crash. Kirk R. Moses, 45, of St. Charles, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries following his single-vehicle crash. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Moses was traveling southbound on US 63 in Boone County at 2 a.m. on Sunday. While on his 1959 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Moses exited at MO 22.The crash report said Moses failed to negotiate the curve and traveled off the left side of the roadway. Moses was ejected from the motorcycle and injured. The motorcycle had minor damage in the crash. The crash report said Moses was wearing a safety device in the crash.

The crash took place just before 4 p.m. on Interstate 70 in St. Peters.
Three people were injured in a three-car crash Thursday afternoon in St. Peters. According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two cars were stopped for traffic ahead on westbound Interstate 70 just east of Mid Rivers Mall Drive just before 4 p.m.. A third vehicle, a 2011 Ford F-250 driven by Gary Sexton, 51, of St. Peters, failed to stop and struck the rear of another vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet F-150 driven by James R. Todd, 27, of O'Fallon. The impact of the crash caused Todd's truck to collide with the first car, a 2001 Mercury Sable driven by Timothy S. Jackson, 22, of St. Charles. Julia Armstrong, 23, jumped out of a moving car and was seriously injured.
A St. Charles woman was seriously injured after she jumped out of a moving car on Tuesday. Julia Armstrong, 23, jumped out of a moving car just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 70 west of Zumbehl Road. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Armstrong sustained serious injuries from the jump and was taken to SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. The crash report didn't offer an explanation as to why Armstrong decided to jump out of the moving car. Armstrong was a passenger in a 2007 Hyundai Sonata driven by James Anthony, 53, of St. Peters.

A 21-year-old St. Charles man is dead after the car he was driving hit a tree near the Highway D and Highway 94 intersection Tuesday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Matthew Wiese was driving eastbound on Highway D, near the Highway 94 intersection, when he traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Wiese was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 5 p.m. According to the highway patrol, Wiese was not wearing a seatbelt.

Garry P. Smith, 56, of St. Peters, was rear-ended on Interstate 70 on Monday morning.
A St. Peters man was injured after being knocked off his motorcycle by another driver on Interstate 70 in St. Charles. Garry P. Smith, 56, of St. Peters, was taken to St. Joseph Health Center by St. Charles County Ambulance following a crash just before 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. The Highway Patrol lists his injury type as moderate. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Smith was on his 2002 Suzuki motorcycle on eastbound I-70 just west of 5th Street in St. Charles.The crash report said Smith was stopped for traffic and a second vehicle, a 2005 Mercury Montego driven by Nicholas A. Fox 2 reports three men were arrested after leading police on a 15 mile pursuit.
A high-speed police chase that began in St. Charles ended in Ferguson with the arrest of three men. According to a report on Fox 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol saw Michael J. Montgomery, 30, of St. Louis, swerving on the Blanchette Bridge on Interstate 70 in St. Charles. The Patrol trooper followed Montgomery until the chase ended 15 miles away behind a Home Depot on Pershall Road and Old Halls Ferry in Ferguson. Troopers told Fox 2 that Montgomery crashed his car in a drainage ditch. Montgomery and the two passengers inside the tried to flee. A 53-year-old woman died after she lost control on icy patch of the highway. Paramedics found the woman dead on the road about 30 feet from the vehicle. She appeared to have suffered severe head injuries.
Update: The driver in the crash has been identified. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver was Gwendolyn F. Hopson, 53, of Florissant.
