Restaurant Manager Charged With Stealing Bank Deposit

The Golden Corral manager told police he went to Ameristar Casino and lost $4,000 to try to win money to recover that disappeared.

A St. Charles restaurant manager has been accused of stealing a bank deposit for the restaurant. St. Charles Police said that Michael C. Femmer, of the 1100 block of Simmons Avenue in Kirkwood, stole the bank deposit for Golden Corral, 1850 Zumbehl Road, a total of $5,516. Femmer was a manager on duty and he prepared the deposit for Oct. 28, police said. Surveillance video shows he drove to Pulaski Bank in the same shopping center as the restaurant, and extended his arm but did not drop the bank bag for deposit, police said. The president of Golden Corral told officers he questioned Femmer about the deposit and Femmer told him he lost it and offered to pay it back.
