Michael Stewart, 18, of the 3000 block Willow Wood Drive, was charged Jan. 22 with two counts of intent to distrubte a controlled substance relating to an incident on March 2, 2012, at Francis Howell North High School.
A St. Charles teen has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with an intent to distribute after traded prescription bills for cigarettes. Michael Stewart, 18, of the 3000 block Willow Wood Drive, was charged Jan. 22 with two counts of intent to distribute a controlled substance relating to an incident on March 2, 2012, at Francis Howell North High School. According to the probable cause statement, police said that Stewart was in possession of five hydrocodone and acetaminophen, 0.5 grams of methylphenidate and one amphetamine pill. St. Peters Police said Stewart took the pills, knowing they were a controlled substance, from his parents with the intent to sell to a juvenile at the school. …

Brandon Bollig, a graduate of Francis Howell North and winger for the Chicago Blackhawks, got into a fight with St. Louis Blues forward Chris Stewart in the Blackhawks' 3-2 win over the Blues on Tuesday.
The Chicago Blackhawks got off to a fast start Tuesday night in their 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues. Blackhawks enforcer and Francis Howell North graduate Brandon Bollig got off to a physical one. Less than eight minutes into the game, Bollig, who played for the Junior Blues as a teen, was already dropping gloves with Blues forward Chris Stewart. Bollig managed 5 minutes, 16 seconds worth of ice time Tuesday, averaging nearly a penalty minute per minute on the ice. The quarrel with Stewart was Bollig's second fight of the season. FHN girls pick up victory, while the boys are downed by Francis Howell Central.
Francis Howell North split a girls’ and boys’ doubleheader with Francis Howell Central Friday night as part of North’s first ever athletic Hall of Fame Night. In the girls’ contest, Francis Howell North claimed a 49-42 victory to improve to 8-8 on the season. In addition, the Knights are now 2-1 in the South Division of the Gateway Athletic Conference. North jumped out an 18-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. However, it was all Central in the second quarter, as the Spartans held the Knights scoreless to even things at 18 at the half. Fort Zumwalt East's Nikki Taylor's start to the season did not go unnoticed. The Tigers' slugger—who leads the team in most offensive categories—won the Patch St. Charles County Athlete of the Week award. The wins just keep coming for Brett Collins and the Lutheran Cougars. After helping his team snap an 18-game losing streak in Week 1 of the 2012 high school football season, Lutheran quarterback Brett Collins was nominated for the Patch St. Charles County Athlete of the Week. Collins, with 76 percent of the vote, came out on top. Here's how the voting broke down: Who was the top football player from Week 1 of the 2012 season? Collins had a hand in all four touchdowns for the Cougars. As the quarterback, Collins was 12-for-21 for 209 yards and three touchdowns against no interceptions. During the pre-game warm-up before Tuesday's MSHSAA Class 3 girls soccer sectional at Francis Howell North High School, a contigent of male Howell North fans decided it would be fun to heckle Pattonville freshman Ashanti Carey. The hooting and barking towards Carey wasn’t exactly vicious or malicious, but it was pretty loud, and it was the first time anything like that had ever happened to Carey, and for a moment, at least it did distract her. “Oh my God, I thought I was going to cry,” Carey said. “That’s the first time anything like that has ever happened. It comes with a solid 3.17 ERA and is complicated by a Marlins squad which has been starved for run support this season. According to mlb.com, Buehrle will take the mound Monday for Miami against ageless 49 year-old wonder Jamie Moyer. Max Scherzer Parkway Central's Max Scherzer, who has struggled this season on the mound for the Detroit Tigers, found his form in dominating fashion Sunday. He pitching seven innings and struck out 15, which according to espn.com is the most in 40 years for the franchise. Another week is in the books, which means it's time for another chance to find St. Charles County's Athlete of the Week. This week, we turn our attention to the baseball diamond. Here are the nominees for the St. Charles County baseball player of the week for the week of April 23: Travis Vaught—Francis Howell Central: The Spartans Travis Vaught did it all last week. Vaught opened the week on April 24 with a stat-filling performance. In Howell Central's 8-3 win, Vaught was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three runs batted in. To top it off, he added two stolen bases. The next day, against Vianney, Vaught walked once and scored two runs in the Spartans' win.
