St. Charles Woman Forged Several Checks at Creve Coeur Bank

Maryland Heights Police say Crystal Callahan, a St. Charles-area woman, forged and cashed at least five checks at a Creve Coeur bank.

A St. Charles-area woman faces criminal charges after forging another person’s names to checks. Crystal Callahan, 33, of the 2000 block of St. Andrews Drive in St. Charles County, was charged Jan. 31 with forgery. Maryland Heights Police said Callahan signed the name of a Maryland Heights resident to five or six checks and cashed them at a U.S. Bank in Creve Coeur between May 6 and May 11 in 2011. Callahan was being held in St. Louis County jail Thursday after a warrant was served Wednesday. Bail was set at $25,000. For more crime information on St. Charles Patch, see the following articles:

Whoops: Man Charged with Stealing Bike Left Wallet Behind

Dwayne Gibson also misidentified himself and signed papers in another name, police said.

A St. Charles man was charged Monday with stealing a bicycle in the 800 block of Jefferson Street. St. Charles Police said in a report that Dwayne L. Gibson, 20, of the 600 block of Clark Street in St. Charles, entered a detached garage on Jefferson and stole a 2007 Cannondale bicycle valued at $500 and a bicycle pump valued at $50. However, police said Gibson also left his wallet at the scene. When he was arrested later, he identified himself as Eric Farrar and signed fingerprint and property sheets as Eric Farrar. Woman Charged for Forgery, Stealing at Walmart

The suspect had a stolen ID card from Pennsylvania when she was arrested, according to the report.

A Pennsylvania woman returned merchandise using another person’s identification and signed a false name at the St. Charles Walmart Sunday. Jamie Ann Ludwig, 30, of Ashland, PA, is being charged with forgery and misdemeanor theft. She had a stolen identification from Pennsylvania when she was arrested, according to a St. Charles Police report. Walmart theft prevention employees also saw her put a pair of headphones in her shopping bag and leave the store, the report stated. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.
