Mark Buehrle Selected for First Francis Howell North Athletic Hall of Fame
Ten will be inducted into FHN Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday.
Nine Francis Howell North High School alumni plus one parent comprise the inaugural class of the FHN Athletic Hall of Fame. The class was selected by a panel of current and former coaches, boosters and administrators. The ten people will be honored at 6:45 p.m. Friday in between the Varsity basketball games. Among the inductees is pitcher Mark Buehrle who graduated in 1997. Buehrle, who is currently with the Toronto Blue Jays, is a two-time winner of MLB.com's GIBBY Award and has thrown two perfect games. Other inductees include: Kathy Anderson, parent of three graduates, served as president and treasurer of the Athletic Booster Club and took on the task of fixing the club's IRS status.
