Rhythm and Ribs: Friday at 6-10 p.m. at St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Cottleville. The St. Charles Community College Foundation’s fourth annual Rhythm and Ribs fundraiser, features live music, food and dancing. Update: Events Canceled Due to Heat

Riverside Shakespeare Theatre Company Cancels matinee performance Sunday.

The St. Charles Municipal Band Concert scheduled for Thursday evening at 8 p.m. has been canceled.  With temperatures expected to reach a high of 108 on Thursday, and a high of 100 throughout the weekend, several outdoor events have been canceled or postponed. Connections to Success canceled its outdoor event "Pink Friday" due to the weather. The event featuring the Mystique Boutique, a 53-foot semi-trailer converted into a mobile upscale resale boutique, will be rescheduled. The Riverside Shakespeare Theatre Company's performance of As You Like It is still set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, but the 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday is canceled. Producer Chris Ferguson said turnout was good over the opening weekend, in spite of the heat.  …

St. Charles County Sheriff's Department is continuting to investigate an incident in which a man and woman who live in a neighborhood off of Caulk's Hill Road in unincorporated St. Charles County were burned.  It's unclear how the fire began, according to an article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Earlier reports indicated that the incident was possible domestic violence situation.  The couple live in a neighborhood off of Caulk's Hill Road in unincorporated St. Charles County.
