Drug Task Force Says Man Was On Way to Sell Marijuana

Detectives said suspect had 50 grams of pot individually packaged on way to deal in city of St. Louis.

St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives arrested a former St. Charles resident for distribution of marijuana. Detectives said in a report that Henry Lee Brown Jr, 39, had more than 50 grams of marijuana in his vehicle Aug. 20 when they pulled him over at Country Club and Huck Finn drives in St. Charles. Drug Task Force detectives said Brown had the marijuana pre-packaged in baggies, an electronic scale, packaging material and four cell phones in his car. According to the report, Brown told officers he intended to deliver the marijuana to an unidentified subject in the city of St. Louis, and that he used the cell phones to coordinate drug transactions. Heroin Distribution Charge Related to Roommate's Death

Man facing charges called heroin "the devil," and said he hates the drug.

The St. Charles County Prosecutors office charged a St. Charles man April 16 in connection with his roommate’s fatal overdose in December. Christopher R. Frambers, 23, is charged with distributing heroin, a class B felony. Normally, the charge is associated with selling or making a controlled substance, but it also applies to distributing or delivering illegal drugs. His roommate, Andrew Eckert, was discovered dead in the house the two shared in the 500 block of Madison Avenue on Dec. 17. An April 9 St. Charles County Medical Examiners’ report said the cause of death was a heroin overdose. Officers found seven capsules Eckert’s dresser drawer, empty capsules and straws with white residue. The powder tested positive for heroin. …
