St. Charles 2012 Christmas Traditions Schedule

The annual holiday festival runs Nov. 23 to Dec. 24.

During the last month of the year, historic St. Charles turns into a winter wonderland for the Christmas Traditions Festival.  For more news from St. Charles,sign up for our newsletter here.  The annual event runs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, starting Nov. 23, through Dec. 24. It features a cast of more than 30 Christmas characters including a Victorian-era Santa and Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol.  There are opportunities for photos with Santa, a parade featuring St. Nick each Saturday, carolers, dinner theater and more.  This is the third year for the city to run the annual event, which was started in the 1970s by a group of shop owners on South Main Street. The event gained international attention after the city …

This is wonderful coverage of the Christmas Traditions Festival...thank you! Just one update...Santa's Cottage has been moved this year from the tourism office to 222 North Main Street. There you will be able to enjoy a Trains on Main display sponsored by the Frenchtown Heritage Museum while you primp for a holiday photo with the Man in the Red Suit!
