Minor League Hockey to Return to St. Charles
The St. Charles Chill, a franchise of the Central Hockey League, will start playing in the fall of 2013 at the St. Charles Family Arena.
Minor league hockey will return to St. Charles Family Arena in the fall of 2013. The Central Hockey League announced Wednesday that it will transfer the Laredo Bucks franchise rights to create the St. Charles Chill. The ownership group includes Gustavo Hernandez, Alfonso Aruindegul and Glenn Hart, all three businessmen based in Laredo, TX. The CHL has 11 teams across the country, including an expansion team that will start in Denver, CO this year. The closest team to St. Charles is in Independence, MO, the Missouri Mavericks.
