Boy Scouts Honor America's Fallen

St. Louis Boy Scouts placed flags on the graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

For 63 years, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers have honored the fallen soldiers of America's wars.  Sunday, the tradition continued as more than 4,000 scouts and their families braved the heat to place flags on each of the 189,000 graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. How will you spend Memorial Day?

Whiz Kid

We Want to Feature Your Whiz Kid!

Send us your favorite achiever and she could be the star of St. Charles Patch.

Know a great kid who made Eagle Scout or did your local soccer team take the championship? They may be our next Patch Whiz Kid honoree. Each week, St. Charles Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. Submit your nomination in our comment box below or e-mail the information to Kalen.Ponche@patch.com. Be sure to include all of the following information: Questions? E-mail St. Charles Patch Editor Kalen Ponche at kalen.ponche@patch.com
