A St. Charles landlord is accused of assaulting his tenants to get them removed from his property and then keeping the rent and deposit money. St. Charles Police said Charles McKee, 50, of the 1100 block of Howell Street in St. Charles, “established a pattern of scamming his tenants for the rent and deposit money, using the same scenario each time.” St. Charles Police said McKee intentionally instigated a fight by chasing his tenant down the hallway Dec. 10 by pushing and chest-butting the man. McKee then called police to get the resident removed from his property. Police said McKee intended to keep the $400 in rent and $200 in deposit money. A couple accused of breaking into a home last April in attempt to retrieve their daughter was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury Nov. 30 of being accessories to burglary. St. Charles Police said the mother, Jennifer Temm, 34, had asked Andrew R. Wilson, 31, the daughter’s father, and Matthew Wakeman to help her get her daughter from a relative’s home. St. Charles Police said the family, who are relatives, had been advised by the Division of Family Services to keep the child pending an investigation. Two men attacked a man, beating him with metal bars Tuesday in the Harvester area, said a St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy. Luke Feil, 19, whose last known address was in the 1700 block of Florine Road in St. Charles, and Anthony Ingracia Jr, 18, of the 1300 block of Drummond Court in Harvester, were charged Wednesday with second-degree assault. Deputies said Feil and Ingracia entered a home in the 3400 block of Huntington Lane in Harvester intending to assault the man. The men ran at the victim, punched and kicked him and knocked him down, according to court documents. Both men picked up metal bars and struck the man, injuring him, according to the deputy's report. A St. Charles man faces criminal charges after police said he hit a St. Peters man with a chair and choked him on Sept. 12. Kyle Crawford Gay, 20, of the 2000 block of Dawson Drive in St. Charles, was charged Sept. 24 with third-degree assault and first-degree trespassing. St. Peters Police said Gay unlawfully entered a home in the first block of Shadow Ridge in St. Peters. He then hit the homeowner with a 20-pound chair and choked him until he nearly passed out, according to court documents. A teenager was charged as an adult 10 months after flipping his car in St. Charles County, killing one passenger and seriously injuring another. Michael Gianino, 17, was 16 years old when his Oct. 17 crash on Greens Bottom Road in St. Charles County killed Clayton Newell, a sophomore at Francis Howell North High School. Gianino’s younger sister, Samantha Gianino, also was seriously injured. Gianino was charged Tuesday with second-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault. A Fastlane employee attacked another employee July 30 at gas station at 301 Salt Lick Road in St. Peters. St. Peters Police said Douglas Hoops Jr., 19, punched the other employee in the eye, threw items at him, damaged displays and merchandise and threatened the other Fastlane employee. When police arrived, Hoops hit an officer and spit on him, according to court documents. Hoops also resisted being put in the patrol car, and the car’s window by slamming his head into it, bending the window guide, according to a police statement. A man was charged Monday with entering his estranged wife’s apartment in St. Peters. David Barbee, 49, of the 1200 block of Harvest Lane in St. Charles, was charged with first-degree burglary. St. Peters Police said Barbee used a key made without his wife’s knowledge to enter the apartment in the 200 block of Turnberry Place in St. Peters. According to a police statement, Barbee hit her with a stick in the arm and stepped on her face during an argument. Bond was set at $25,000. A St. Louis County man was charged Friday with stealing a sex toy from a St. Charles adult video and novelty store. Thomas Charboneau, 56, of Vinita Park, is charged with stealing and third-degree assault. St. Charles Police said in a report that Charboneau paid $6 to watch a movie at New Release Video, 2330 Highway 94 South Outer Road. He complained about the movie’s quality and asked for his money back. When the store clerk refused, Charboneau reached across the counter and took the sex toy, valued at $75, and said, “I’ll take this in lieu of my $6,” according to the report. Police said the clerk told him he couldn’t do that and stepped between Charboneau and the exit, at which point Charboneau pushed and tried to punch the clerk. The …
