Man Intentionally Hit Pedestrian on Main Street, Police Say
St. Charles Police said the man was driving while intoxicated and ran over the man with his car after the two argued.
A man intentionally drove over a pedestrian just after midnight Dec. 2 in the 900 block of North Main Street, according to a St. Charles Police report. Dean Scott Hodge, 48, of the 2400 block of Eagle Forest Drive in St. Charles, was charged Dec. 3 with second-degree assault, operating a vehicle with criminal negligence. St. Charles Police said the two men had argued and Hodge got in his car to leave, He was intoxicated at the time, police said. Lt. Dave Senter, of St. Charles Police, said Hodge continued northbound on Main Street after hitting the man and driving over him.
