St. Charles Man Leaves Accident Scene on Bridge, Gets Fourth DWI Charge in Two Years

Bart Laster has three previous alcohol-related driving convictions and faces three additional DWI charges.

A St. Charles man faces his fifth DWI charge within the last two years and his sixth alcohol-related driving charge overall. He was pulled over after leaving an accident scene at the Blanchette Bridge Wednesday, police said. Bart Laster, 40, of the 1000 block of Cole Boulevard in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated as an aggravated offender and leaving the scene of an accident. Laster was eastbound on Interstate 70 on the Blanchette Bridge when he caused an accident, according to a probable cause statement. He left the scene, but was pulled over by Maryland Heights Police, the probable cause statement reads. He will never learn!!! All he cares about is going out 7 days a week and getting drunk/stoned/high. This makes 7 DWI's for him. Just think about how many times he didn't get caught. From 2004 to 2007 he got 1 in Pine Lawn and 2 in Woodson Terrace. In 2011 from May to September he got 1 in Town and Country, 1 in St. Peters, and 1 in Creve Coeur.
