Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.

If anyone went to the Cape Girardeau Central/St. Charles West game on September 6, you saw quite aRead More football game. West had the lead going into the 4th quarter until 38 seconds left in the game when Cape scored, narrowing it to 40-38. Cape attempted a 2-point conversion to tie the game and send it to OT, but was stopped at the 4 yard line and could not score. West has won the last two meetings against Cape Central--a rivalry dating back to 1979.

There are many more important places we can use our military than a soccer field. Well at least SLYSA members can go to church this Sunday instead of pagan soccer games.

I'll preface by saying that I'm not affiliated with SLYSA or the aforementioned tournament. HowRead More about broadcasting facts or at least something positive instead spewing hate and vitriol. ...we've certainly got enough of that in our world today.
