I LOVE it! Such friendly staff and always smiling. The potato soup is THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!! That is what we go there for mainly. The atmosphere is terrific and the people are great...everything about it is wonderful. I can't think of anything negative. I will always cherish the birthday lunches my mother & I always had there.

On the occasional day that my husband takes off, Magpie's is always my first choice for lunch, especially if the weather is nice! The baked potato soup is the best I've ever had and the Good Neighbor sandwich is a perennial favorite. The patio is lovely and the service is friendly and quick.
This is a very well known and St. Charles landmark restaurant. The patio is a lovely place to eat for an afternoon lunch and the food is delicious. We always go there for Admin Assistants day in April
On a 1 to 10 scale it's a 16, I eat there at least once a week and have for years and never had a bad meal. The servers are friends that care, smile and help in any way possible. Anyone ever asks me for a place to eat in St Charles, it's my first selection. I am so glad I live just around the corner from them.

We have always had superb lunches at Magpie's, and the service is efficient and quick! And when we brought out-of-town visitors for dinner, we thought that the food was even more excellent than lunch! (Their salmon is the best!)
