Campbell Montessori School opened in 1989 as the St. Charles Montessori Academy. The school was granted nonprofit status in 1995 and later added an elementary school. In 1997, the renamed Campbell Montessori School opened at its current location. The school is located in a quiet neighborhood with a playground and wooded trails on six-and-a-half acres.

- How engaged is the school with the community?: Students participate in a FIRST Lego League Robotics Team, and the Read, Right and Run Marathon, Girl Scouts. Service projects are conducted regularly by the elementary and middle school students.
- What makes this community special?: The Campbell Parent Group helps one another out by providing meals and child care in an emergency situation, sponsors movie night, crazy bowl, and skate night as well as the annual Gala, Trivia Night and The Great Pi Run.
