Academy of the Sacred Heart was the first Catholic elementary school in St. Charles. After a brief move to Florissant in the early 1800s, Sacred Heart moved to its current location, where the campus covers an entire city block. Students in pre-K to fifth grade are in co-ed classrooms, while students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade are divided into same-sex classrooms.
