Prasino in St. Charles Teams Up with Local Superheroes to Benefit Two Local Nonprofit Organizations

On June 8, superheroes of all ages and abilities will take off from Frontier Park in St. Charles for this 5K run and 1-mile walk/roll to benefit United Services for Children and Unlimited Play, Inc.

Just like a speeding locomotive, you can’t stop a superhero! The Superhero Dash is just 10 days away. On June 8, superheroes of all ages and abilities will take off from Frontier Park in St. Charles and conquer the Katy Trail for this 5K run and 1-mile walk/roll.

When superheroes leap into action, it’s always for a good cause. Their daring exploits will support two nonprofit organizations – Unlimited Play and United Services for Children.

Registration will open at 7 a.m. The 5K run will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 1-mile walk/roll. Participants will receive superhero capes to wear during the event. Superhero costumes are encouraged!

Superheroes work up an appetite. That is why Prasino in St. Charles is inviting Dashers to stop by after the event and enjoy the St. Louis area’s newest food destination. On June 8, until 1 p.m., Prasino will donate proceeds from all Dash customers’ food and drink orders to United Services for Children and Unlimited Play. Just tell your server that you participated in the Superhero Dash. Prasino is a sophisticated, sustainably-minded, eco-friendly restaurant located at 1520 S. 5th St. in The Streets of St. Charles center.

Even superheroes need help. Luckily, the Superhero Dash has some super powered supporters, including Mike Matheny’s Catch 22 Foundation, Mercy health system, SSM Health Care, and the Heffernan Foundation. Without these sponsors, the superheroes could not take flight.
