Rain Hits St. Charles, Heat to Return for Rest of the Week

Thunderstorm rolls in late Monday afternoon.

A thunderstorm rolled into late Monday afternoon, bringing with it winds that knocked over patio umbrellas and tables and sent visitors to downtown St. Charles scurrying for their cars. 

The rain isn't expected to last long, though. High temperatures over 100 F are expected to return Tuesday morning and last through the rest of the week, according to weather.gov. 

The area isn't expected to see more rain for another week.
