St. Charles Crime Reports

Selected St. Charles Crime Reports May 18 to 24.

A woman reported an attempted kidnapping or assault in the parking lot of Target in Cave Springs around 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to St. Charles Police Spokesman Lt. Mike Akers.

The woman was approached by a man as she was getting into her car, who came up to her and said, “Get into the car.” The man then put his forearm toward her and pushed her, she told police. The woman pushed back and yelled and the man walked away without any further attempts to push her or saying anything else, said Akers.

The man was described as about 5’ 8” between the ages of 28 and 30 years old with a light blue ball cap, said Akers. He said police located a man matching that description and brought him back to the scene but the woman said it was not the person who attacked her.
