Lindenwood Basketball Teams Prep for Post-Season Play
Men's team plays Avila Thursday and the women's team plays Baker Wednesday.
The Lindenwood University men's and women's basketball teams open post-season play this week at home in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament.
The second-seeded men's team, which has won a school-record 26 games, will host Avila in a first-round contest Thursday at 7 p.m. the Robert F. Hyland Arena.
The women's squad, also seeded second, will host seventh-seeded Baker on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Should the Lions win both games, they would host a second-round women's game on Friday night and a men's game on Saturday.
The conference championship contests are slated for the following Monday and Tuesday, with the highest-seeded remaining team serving as host.

Under first-year coach Tony Francis, the women's team has already won 11 more games than last season's squad.
