Howell North Grad Fights in St. Louis Blues Loss to Chicago Blackhawks

Brandon Bollig, a graduate of Francis Howell North and winger for the Chicago Blackhawks, got into a fight with St. Louis Blues forward Chris Stewart in the Blackhawks' 3-2 win over the Blues on Tuesday.

The Chicago Blackhawks got off to a fast start Tuesday night in their 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

Blackhawks enforcer and Francis Howell North graduate Brandon Bollig got off to a physical one.

Less than eight minutes into the game, Bollig, who played for the Junior Blues as a teen, was already dropping gloves with Blues forward Chris Stewart.

Bollig managed 5 minutes, 16 seconds worth of ice time Tuesday, averaging nearly a penalty minute per minute on the ice.

The quarrel with Stewart was Bollig's second fight of the season.

The Blackhawks signed Bollig April 3, 2010.

"I grew up watching (the Blues) and I was a die-hard fan of their guys growing up," Bollig said to Blackhawks radio voice John Wiedeman. "There's a little extra something when it's against your hometown team."
