Kool Yule Bike Ride

Join us for the FOURTH ANNUAL "Kool Yule" leisurely, multi-type bike ride through old St. Charles and Historic Frenchtown.

RSVP HERE

Each year this ride gets even better! Downtown St. Charles and Historic Frenchtown is famous for their holiday festivities. The cobblestoned main street is lighted, carolers singing and dozens of actors portraying different holiday traditions are walking the streets!

We will have a festive BIKE PARADE!

This is a semi "kid friendly" event as long as they can do a few miles at moderate pace..IN THE COLD.

WHAT TO DO... Decorate yourself and/or your bike up with "holiday" cheer. Think BIKE BLING! You can find battery operated lights in most department stores, they work great on bikes.

You are encouraged to express any form of holiday you choose to celebrate. SLAG members coexist, so bring us your menorah, ganesh, kwanzaa candles, celestial or secular decorations. The more lights and bling the better.

WHEN AND WHERE TO DO IT...
We will meet at the 2nd Street Bike Stop Cafe (get there before 1pm if you need to get your bike decked out).

This is a very light MTB ride. We will be riding Frenchtown, the cobblestone streets of historic St. Chuck, some Katy Trail and some easy trails that follow the riverfront. No problem for anything with other than a road bike. There will be many stops along the way to chat and take in the views of the river. Expect more of a "rolling party" type atmosphere.

THE BIG FINISH We will finish before dusk on the beautifully decorated Frenchtown and the cobblestone road of Main Street St. Charles. The holiday lights and carolers will be greeting us as we stroll into old town St. Charles. Last year we made our own bike parade down the street. I wished I had brought candy to throw, they really thought we were a parade!

Things to bring:
Holiday bike decorations Bells, battery operated lights, music, singing Santas, garland... Warm clothes (dress in layers) Warm Gloves, Hot Water, Spare tube, Lights, Candycane socks, Dancing Santas. Have fun!

If the weather tuns bad (rain/sleet), we will cancel. Call 636-724-9900 to confirm.
