The YMCA Early Childhood Education Center at Elm Point will hold a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 5.
The center, located at 3601 Mueller Road, is the result of a merger between the YMCA Early Childhood Education Center and the Elm Point Early Childhood Education Center, which was owned by Lutheran Family and Children's Services.
The grand opening will include activities, giveaways, prizes and refreshments, along with tours of the age-specific classrooms and playgrounds, the gross motor skills room and the family resource room. Twenty-six certified instructors will be on hand to explain the various programs and answer questions.
“We are proud to be the newest addition in education to the St. Charles area and love being a part of this great community,” said Julie Aitken, director of the YMCA Elm Point ECEC. “We look forward to providing a high quality, safe and convenient recreational and educational environment for children of all abilities.”
