St. Charles Schools Get Upgrades Over the Summer

Check out eight improvements to local schools that happened over the summer.

The St. Charles School District made a number of improvements to local schools over the summer, ranging from upgrades to schools to new technology. 

Facilities improvements:

  • Added a new parking lot at Hardin Middle School adds 15 new spaces up front and six new spaces behind the gym entrance. 
  • Replaced the PA system at Lincoln Elementary School with a new one. 
  • Refinished gym floors at Hardin Middle School and the auxiliary gym floors at St. Charles West and St. Charles High School. 
  • Remodeled the boys bathroom near the auto body shop at Lewis and Clark Vocational Center.
  • Striped school parking lots and Lewis and Clark Vocational Center parking lot. 
Technology improvements:
  • Doubled the wireless infrastructure in each building which will help with the expansion of wireless devices like smart phones.
  • Upgraded software and added storage space for security cameras, which will enable the principles to add more surveillance cameras. 
  • Preparing new laptops for all teachers in grades 5-12.
