St. Charles High School Celebrates 2011 Graduates

Class of 2011 was awarded more than $1 million in scholarship funds for college.

Family and friends gathered inside the gymnasium at St. Charles High School Thursday to celebrate the 201 graduates in the class of 2011.  

Facts about the St. Charles High School Class of 2011

  • 42 students will graduate with high honors (3.70 – 4.0 cumulative GPA).
  • 13 students will graduate with honors (3.50 – 3.69  cumulative GPA).
  • 15 scholar athletes (3.5 Cumulative GPA and active in four seasons of a varsity sport).
  • 20 scholar performers (3.5 Cumulative GPA and active for four years of active participation in band, choir, or theater).
  • 44 seniors participating in National Honor Society.
  • 16 seniors on Student Council for at least three years.
  • 58 students earned the Renaissance Principal’s Leadership Award (seven semesters of a 3.0 GPA, no grades below a C, and good citizenship).
  • 4 students with four years of perfect attendance in high school.
  • 8 students earned Bright Flight (30 on the ACT).
  • 1 National Merit Scholar (University of Alabama offered Heather Adair a four-year full scholarship).
  • 9 valedictorians.
  • $1,077,090 worth of scholarships earned by the class of 2011.
  • 201 graduates.
  • 68 percent of the graduates will either attend a tech school, community college (2-year school), or college (4-year school)
  • 25 of the graduates will join the military.
