Rapper Nelly Coming to St. Charles

Famous St. Louis rapper Nelly will present this year's Black and White Ball scholarships at Lindenwood University today on the college's St. Charles campus.

Nelly, one of St. Louis' most famous personalities and Grammy Award-winning rapper, will be at Lindenwood University today to hand out a pair of scholarships to local students. 

According to a Lindenwood release, Nelly is presenting local high school students Charles Fraction and Naa'na Wilson with this year's Black and White Ball scholarships. 

The scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition award and is open to all incoming first-year student who meet Lindenwood admission requirements and demonstrate academic success, leadership and financial need, the release said.

Fraction currently attends Elsberry High School in Elsberry, and plans to major in graphic design at Lindenwood. Wilson attends Jennings High School in Jennings, and plans to study pre-veterinary science and biology at the university.
