The district used a new school reach program to inform tell students that school was canceled. McInnis said if school is canceled tomorrow, finals would be set for January after holiday break.

"I don't see us fully canceling finals," said McInnis. "They provide us too much valuable info for the teachers to see whether or not the students have met the competencies. We want to know exactly how they stand."

The Francis Howell School District is still planning to have a board meeting tonight at the district administrative center starting at 7 p.m.

District spokesperson Jennifer Henry said each high school is creating a plan for making up the final exams.
