Lindenwood University Tuition, Room and Board to Increase in Fall 2012

Undergraduate students who live on campus will pay $22,180 in fall 2012, up from $21,360 in 2011.

Tuition, room and board costs and fees for undergraduate students at Lindenwood University will increase 3.8 percent next fall, according to a release from the school.

Undergraduate students who live on campus will pay $22,180 starting in fall 2012, as compared to $21,360 in 2011. 

The students in the evening program, LCIE, will pay 4.3 percent more in tuition starting in summer 2012. A nine-hour cluster of undergraduate courses will cost $3,060 and a nine-hour cluster of graduate courses will cost $3,708.

Lindenwood President James D. Evans said the increase is necessary because of rising costs of operation. He stressed that the school works hard to keep increases at a minimum.  

In 2011-12, the average increase for tuition and room and board at private nonprofit colleges and universities was 4.5 percent, according to the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
