August 15 Marks First Day of School for St. Charles School District

Students will head back to class in the on Aug. 15 this year, five days later than last year. 

The schools will have 10 early release days this year, same number as 2011-12 school year. Students are in class for 176 days, and the last scheduled day of school is May 23. The district has six snow days built into the calendar.

• Fall break begins Tuesday, Nov. 20 with an early release day, and students return to class Monday, Nov. 26.
• Winter break will run from Dec. 24-Jan. 7, with students getting out early on Dec. 21, a Friday.
• Spring break is scheduled for March 25 to April 1.
