Missouri Botanical Garden | Orchid Show

Madagascar themed Orchid show wows crowds once again.

Each year, Missouri Botanical Garden hosts an Orchid Show. This year, the theme is Madagascar, celebrating twenty five years of Garden research and conservation work in the island nation.

You and your family can visit and view the over two hundred species of Orchids February 2 - March 31. Not all species are on display at the same time, as the display is rotated  to showcase as many species as is possible. MoBot grows several rare and unusual specimens, and some are over a hundred years old.

The Garden also offers resources for plant care advice, if you are opting to or learning to grow your own Orchids. The Kemper Center is filled with reference materials and experts on orchids and their care, or take an adult education class provided by one of the Garden's programs.
