Robert Faltisek is running for election to the Francis Howell Board of Education against three others.

Background:

I have 20 plus years in management, focused on budgets and audits keeping cost in line. I have worked in bring management and workforce together. I will be a voice for parents and patrons in the community.

Why are you running for election?

As a father of two boys, I'm aware of the struggles that students face, as well as parents. I am a strong supporter of parents being involved with there kids education. Making this easy for households that have both parents working as well as single parents.

What is the biggest issue facing Francis Howell School District?

Making sure our students are ready to move on to the next part of there life. weather it be going on to formal education or entering into the work force.

In what areas does the Francis Howell School District need to improve?

What areas would you prioritize as the district faces tighter budgets?

I feel that when make financial decisions, decisions need to benefit the whole student body.  

How should the school district evaluate and measure teacher quality?

From what I have seen with my two boysm the quality of teachers that they have had on an average 1-10, I would give them a strong 9.  

What's one thing you'd like to accomplish this year?

I not coming to the school board to make any big changes. I want to make sure that we are making the best choices for the students in every area of their education.
