December Network Luncheon: Creating a Welcoming Community

The Community Council of St. Charles County will host its monthly Network Luncheon on Thursday, December 1st at Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. We welcome international students from the AEL English as a Second Language program at along with ESL Lead Teacher, Ingrid Casillo. 

The students will discuss how they celebrate the holidays in their native countries. Learn about creating a welcoming community as you discover the richly diverse perspectives of residents who have come to St. Charles from all over the world.   

We'll also hear from Jim Rhodes, Local History & Genealogy Information Resource Manager for the . Jim will focus on the rich history of St. Charles County, where the first settlers came from, and why they traveled to St. Charles. He will also talk about the resources available at the library for those of us who would like to research our own genealogy.
