Election 2011: St. Charles Voters Will Elect Mayor, City Coucil Members

Today is election day in St. Charles County. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Temperatures are supposed to climb to 61 in St. Charles today, so enjoy the warmth as you head to your polling place.

Voters in St. Charles are being asked to elect a mayor. Residents in half of the city's wards will elect a council member to represent them for the next four years.

Things to know:

- If you are a registered voter, you have the right to receive a new ballot if you spoil the first one or make an error.

- You should bring some form of identification with you when you vote. This can be an ID issued by the federal government or state of Missouri, like a driver's licesnse or a passport; a college ID from a Missouri institution of higher education, a copy of a utility bill, paycheck or document that has both your name and address.

- You can look up your polling place here.

- Watch the election results come in live at the Election Authority's website, or check back with St. Charles Patch throughout the evening. These are posted after polls close at 7 p.m. as the votes are tallied.
