2011 Riverfest Schedule of Events

Entertainment, fireworks are scheduled for July 4, carnival rides are from July 1-4.

Riverfest 2011
Riverfest, the annual Fourth of July celebration in St. Charles, will take place on July 4 along the river front in St. Charles. Although the entertainment and family activities take place on July 4 only, Archway Amusement will operate its carnival on South Riverside Drive July 1-4.

The hours are:
5-11 p.m. July 1
3-11 p.m. with an early bird special with reduced ticket prices from 3-5 p.m. and regular prices 5-11 p.m. July 2
3-11 p.m. July 3 which is also “Family Fun Day” with unlimited rides when you purchase a $20 wristband.
11:30 a.m.-close July 4

Riverfest 2011 Schedule of Events July 4:
10 a.m., the parade kicks off from turning left on Randolph, right on Kingshighway, left on Clark and right on Main Street going to the lot. (Parade usually reaches Main Street at about 10:45 a.m.)
Noon-10:30 p.m., food, drink and vendor booths open
Noon, Mayor’s welcome, presentation of parade awards, national anthem and Lewis & Clark Fife and Drum Corps
12:30-2:30 p.m., Pat Holt Singers and Dancers (dancers age 6-college age in a patriotic tribute).  
3-4:30 p.m., David Cattani Band (easy listening)
4:30-5 p.m., Progression (four-piece quartet from the Ambassadors of Harmony)
5-6 p.m., Saint Charles Municipal Band  (patriotic music)
6:30-7:30 p.m., Pearl Handle Band (country/western)
8-9:15 p.m., Fabulous Motown Review 
9:15 p.m., Mayor’s welcome, national anthem sung by local singer Mary Barfield who is part of the
9:20 p.m., fireworks
9:45-10:30 p.m., Pearl Handle Band
(All of the entertainment will be on a stage set up behind 230 South Main Street, the Tourism building. Spectators should bring lawn chairs or blankets.)

Noon-6 p.m., arts and crafts provided by
1, 3 and 5 p.m., Kincaid Karacters Puppet Shows
12:30-4:30 p.m., Balloon Man
12:30-6 p.m., My HandyWorks presents interactive art (nominal fee)
